Section 11-15-29 - Application to vacate or modify award; new hearing

On application as provided for in Section 11-15-27, the court may vacate the award in any of the cases specified in Section 11-15-23, and if the time in which the award shall have been required to be made by the articles of submission has not expired, may, in its discretion, direct a new hearing by the arbitrators; and, in the cases specified in Section 11-15-25, the court may modify and correct the award so as to effect the intent thereof, and to promote justice between the parties.Codes, 1892, § 109; 1906, § 110; Hemingway's 1917, § 97; 1930, § 95; 1942, § 293.
