The attorney general, in proper cases after investigation, shall file an answer in all such cases setting up any defense on the part of the state of Mississippi, and all of the pleadings in such cases shall be the same as in other cases in chancery. The said cause shall be heard and determined as other cases in chancery.Codes, 1942, § 1316; Laws, 1940, ch. 309.
