Section 11-31-5 - Levy on land

If the land of the nonresident, absent or absconding debtor be the subject of such suit, and an order of attachment be issued, the order shall be levied by the sheriff or other officer as such writs of law are required to be levied on land, and shall have like effect.Codes, 1880, § 1889; 1892, § 488; 1906, § 538; Hemingway's 1917, § 295; 1930, § 175; 1942, § 2731; Laws, 1980, ch. 467, § 3, eff. 7/1/1980.
