Section 11-5-83 - Sheriff to execute decrees; clerk to issue process

Decrees, where a master or special commissioner is not appointed to execute them, shall be executed by the sheriff; and the clerk shall issue all writs of fieri facias, habere facias possessionem, or other final process, according to the nature of the case, directed to the sheriff, and returnable to the next term of the court or at such other time as in a given case may be prescribed.Codes, 1857, ch. 62, art. 98; 1871, § 1266; 1880, § 1956; 1892, § 597; 1906, § 647; Hemingway's 1917, § 409; 1930, § 455; 1942, § 1375.
