Supersedeas bonds shall be sufficient if signed by one or more of several appellants, with sureties as required by law, and in case of the affirmance of the decree or judgment complained of, the judgment of affirmance shall be entered against all the appellants in the same manner as if all had signed such bond; but if the decree or judgment be affirmed as to some and reversed as to others of said appellants, the judgment of affirmance shall be entered only against those as to whom it is affirmed, and the sureties on the bond.Codes, 1857, ch. 62, art. 111; 1871, § 1261; 1880, § 2332; 1892, § 57; 1906, § 58; Hemingway's 1917, § 34; 1930, § 37; 1942, § 1171; Laws, 1978, ch. 335, § 23, eff. 7/1/1978.
