The process so delivered to the sheriff or constable shall be returned by him to the clerk of the justice court, according to its command.Codes, 1880, § 2201; 1892, § 2405; 1906, § 2734; Hemingway's 1917, § 2233; 1930, § 2082; 1942, § 1816; Laws, 1981, ch. 471, § 28; Laws, 1982, ch. 423, § 15, eff. 1/1/1984, or, with respect to a given county, from and after such earlier date as the county appoints a justice court clerk pursuant to § 9-11-27(3).
