Greene County is bounded by beginning at the northwest corner of township five, north, range eight, west; thence east on the township line to the intersection of the state line with Alabama; thence southerly with said state line to the thirty-first parallel of latitude which is the township line between townships one north and one south; thence west with said township line to the line between ranges eight and nine, west; thence north with said range line to the beginning.
