Section 19-19-3 - Oath and bond of office

Constables shall take the oath of office prescribed by the Constitution and give bond, with sufficient surety, to be payable, conditioned and approved as provided by law and in the same manner as other county officials, in a penalty not less than Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00). The bond premium for each constable shall be paid from the general county fund of the respective counties.
