The board of supervisors of any county in the State of Mississippi is hereby authorized, in its discretion, to lease or rent any lands or buildings owned by the county and being used, or intended to be used, as a county home and farm to any person, persons, or association for the purposes of using such land and buildings for the care and keeping of old, infirm, or indigent persons. At any time that such lands and buildings cease to be used for such purposes, then such lease shall automatically expire.Codes, 1942, § 2997-01; Laws, 1946, ch. 260.
