The board of supervisors of such county may, upon petition by the board of commissioners of the district, exercise the power of eminent domain on behalf of the district wherever and whenever public necessity and convenience so requires.Codes, 1942, § 2998.7-28; Laws, 1972, ch. 536, § 8, eff. 5/23/1972.
