Section 19-9-101 - Securing funds for maintenance of fair associations

The board of supervisors of any county in the State of Mississippi may, in its discretion, set aside, appropriate and expend moneys from the general fund for the purpose of securing funds with which to maintain fair associations, including the upkeep, repairs and payment of the necessary prizes and awards of said associations.Codes, 1942, § 2985.5; Laws, 1960, ch. 172, §§ 1-3; Laws, 1986, ch. 400, § 14, eff. 10/1/1986.
