Section 21-17-15 - Establishment of fiscal or financial department in certain municipalities; authority of director

Within the discretion of the governing authorities of any municipality having a population of seventy-five thousand (75,000) or more according to the latest federal decennial census, there may be established a fiscal or financial department and the director thereof shall be invested with the full authority to act in all financial matters for and on behalf of such municipality as the city clerk is now authorized to act in such matters.Laws, 1974, ch. 400, eff. 3/25/1974.
