The mayor and board of aldermen of any municipality wherein there is located an historic museum operated by an historical society on a nonprofit basis and which municipality is situated in a county bordered by the Mississippi River and having therein a national military park and a national military cemetery are hereby authorized and empowered to donate a sum not exceeding One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per annum to such historic museum.Codes, 1942, § 3374-157.5; Laws, 1956, ch. 355.
