Sections 21-27-161 through 21-27-191 are for the purpose of authorizing a cooperative effort by public agencies for the safe and economical construction and operation of systems for the collection, transportation, treatment and disposal of wastes, including sewerage systems and sewage disposal systems, in order to prevent and control the pollution of the waters in this state. Said sections may be cited as the 'Metropolitan Area Waste Disposal Act.'Laws, 1975, ch. 496, § 1, eff. 4/7/1975.
