The Board of Trustees of the Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi is hereby constituted a board, which shall be known as the Board of the General Retirement System of ____________________.The governing body of a municipality may appoint a board of not more than five (5) members who shall be representative of the membership of the retirement system. Such board shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Trustees of the Public Employees' Retirement System.
