Section 21-9-55 - Appropriations by first elected council

If at the beginning of the first term of office of the first city council elected by any city under the provisions of this chapter, the appropriations for the expenditures for the city government for the current fiscal year shall have been made, the council shall have power, by ordinance, to revise, to repeal, or change said appropriations and to make additional appropriations.Codes, 1942, § 3825.5-39; Laws, 1948, ch. 385, § 39.
