Except as otherwise therein provided, the salaries mentioned in the foregoing sections shall be paid monthly out of the general county fund, and the salaries and allowances shall be included in the budget of each county; however, the board of supervisors, by resolution duly adopted and entered on its minutes, may provide that such salaries shall be paid semimonthly on the first and fifteenth day of each month or every two (2) weeks.
