Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to require the Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi or the State Treasurer or their agents to take any action as described in this chapter unless it is determined, in good faith, that: the action described in this chapter is consistent with the fiduciary responsibilities of the Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi or the State Treasurer or their agents; and there are appropriated funds of the state to absorb the expenses necessary to implement this chapter.Brought forward by Laws, 2024, ch. 427, SB 2226,§ 7, eff. 7/1/2024.Added by Laws, 2019, ch. 336, HB 761,§ 6, eff. 7/1/2019.
