Section 27-35-125 - Failure of clerk to make copies; other person appointed

If the clerk fail to make out, certify, and transmit the copies of the assessment rolls as required, he shall forfeit the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), to be recovered by action or motion against him and the sureties on his official bond, to be prosecuted by the state; and the board of supervisors shall appoint some other person to make and certify the copies, who shall receive the compensation provided for the clerk.
