Section 27-41-35 - Furnishing of tax receipt to taxpayer

The tax collector shall give to everyone paying taxes a signed receipt filled in as set forth in Section 27-41-33 and as otherwise required by law. In the event any home which is exempt from taxes as provided by the Homestead Exemption Law is not subject to any ad valorem taxes, then the tax collector shall give to the owner a receipt in the usual form but in the spaces provided on said receipt for the entry of the amount of taxes there shall be written the word 'none.'Codes, 1942, § 9909; Laws, 1938, Ex. ch. 28.
