Section 27-41-49 - Collection by sale; notice to debtor

It shall be the duty of the collector to give notice, in writing, to the debtor of such taxpayer, which notice shall bind the debt in his hands and to the delinquent taxpayer, if he be a resident of the county, five (5) days before sale. If the delinquent taxpayer be not a resident of the county, and the collector know his address, the notice shall be sent to him by mail immediately on advertising the indebtedness for sale.Codes, 1942, § 9916; Laws, 1934, ch. 188.
