Section 27-65-213 - Legislative findings

The Legislature finds that the public interest of both Indians and non-Indians is best served by close cooperation between the state government and the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. The Legislature finds this cooperation to be especially important in the area of taxation. Accordingly, the Legislature hereby authorizes the State Tax Commission to enter into tax collection agreements with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.Laws, 1986, ch. 322, § 2, eff. 3/13/1986.
