Section 31-3-2 - Declaration of purpose

The purpose of this chapter, is to protect the health, safety and general welfare of all persons dealing with those who are engaged in the vocation of contracting and to afford such persons an effective and practical protection against incompetent, inexperienced, unlawful and fraudulent acts of contractors.Laws, 1985, ch. 505, § 6; reenacted, Laws, 1988, ch. 527, § 2, eff. 7/1/1988.
