Section 33-7-15 - Unauthorized wearing of uniform and insignia

It shall be unlawful for any person not a member of the Mississippi National Guard or the organized militia to wear any distinctive part of the uniform or insignia of the Mississippi National Guard or the organized militia. Any person who offends against this section shall, on conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00), and not more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), or by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed three (3) months, or by both fine and imprisonment. However, the prohibition of this section shall not apply to members of the armed forces on extended active duty or to members of the various reserve components of the armed forces.Codes, 1942, § 8519-39; Laws, 1966, ch. 539, § 28, eff. 6/1/1966.
