The members of the State Veterans Affairs Board shall receive no salary but shall be entitled to a per diem allowance in the amount provided in Section 25-3-69 while in attendance at any regular or called meeting of the board or while in the performance of other official duties in connection with the work of the board as authorized or directed by the board.
