The board of trustees of state institutions of higher learning is hereby authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to lease to social fraternities, sororities, or other social organizations, upon such conditions as it may prescribe, for a term not exceeding ninety-nine years, any land at any state-supported institution of higher learning for the purpose of erecting fraternity houses, sorority houses, or other facilities for recreation thereon.Codes, 1942, § 6796.5; Laws, 1948, ch. 280.
