The board of trustees of state institutions of higher learning is directed, empowered and authorized to take necessary and proper actions to assure that the school of dentistry of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, as hereby established, acquires and maintains recognition and accreditation in local, regional and national accreditation associations at least at the level of its counterparts in the southeastern region of the United States and on a level with the other professional schools of this state.Laws, 1973, ch. 388, § 5, eff. 3/28/1973.
