There is hereby created a four-year, standard medical school as a department of the University of Mississippi, which school shall be equipped and operated as a standard medical school in accordance with the recommended standards of the Council on Medical Education and hospitals of the American Medical Association and the council of the Association of American Medical Colleges.Codes, 1942, § 6708-02; Laws, 1950, ch. 378, § 2.
