The Mississippi Legislature finds that:(a) Education in computer science is a critical need for the students of Mississippi for the twenty-first century;(b) More than half of high schools in Mississippi do not teach a computer science course; and(c) The logical thinking skills taught by computer science are very valuable in many noncomputer science jobs, as technology has become embedded in most professions.Added by Laws, 2021, ch. 389, HB 633,§ 2, eff. 7/1/2021.
