The authority shall be composed of an odd number of members, said number to be determined and appointed by the board from among the research officers of the eight (8) institutions of higher learning and the University of Mississippi Medical Center, to serve at the will and pleasure of the board; the vice president of the board during the term of his office; the Director of the Mississippi Development Authority, or his designee; and the Commissioner of Higher Education as an ex officio, nonvoting member.Laws, 1992, ch. 530, § 4, eff. 7/1/1992.Amended by Laws, 2024, ch. 398, HB 939,§ 1, eff. 7/1/2024.
