Section 37-3-39 - Custody and disbursement of funds of department

The state treasurer is hereby designated and appointed custodian of all funds made available to the state department of education other than such funds as may be appropriated by the legislature, and he is hereby authorized to receive and to provide for the proper custody of the same. All such funds shall be disbursed by the treasurer on warrants drawn therefor by the state auditor on requisitions of the state superintendent of public education.Codes, 1942, § 6245-10; Laws, 1946, ch. 297, § 10.
