Section 37-31-15 - School boards authorized to establish and maintain vocational and technical schools and classes

The school board may, in its discretion, cooperate with the State Board of Education in the establishment and maintenance of vocational and technical schools or classes giving instruction in vocational and technical training which does not terminate in a bachelors degree to persons in need of such instruction, and may use for paying the cost of such cooperation any monies raised by public taxation in the same manner as monies for other school purposes are used for the maintenance and support of public schools.Codes, 1930, § 6707; 1942, § 6493; Laws, 1930, ch. 278; Laws, 1940, ch. 176; Laws, 1944, ch. 296; Laws, 1982, ch. 493, § 12; Laws, 1992, ch. 482, § 3, eff. 7/1/1992.
