Section 37-33-23 - Eligibility for vocational rehabilitation; services provided

Vocational rehabilitation services may be provided to any eligible individuals with disabilities who are present in the state at the time of filing an application therefor and whose vocational rehabilitation, the director determines after full investigation, can be satisfactorily achieved.Except as otherwise provided by law or as specified in any agreement with the federal government with respect to classes of individuals certified to the state board under that agreement, the following rehabilitation services may be provided to eligible individuals with disabilities found to require vocational rehabilitation services to achieve an employment outcome:(a) Physical restoration;(b) Transportation for vocational rehabilitation services to the nature and extent of the services necessary;(c) Occupational licenses;(d) Placement equipment, tools, and supplies;(e) Maintenance;(f) Training books and materials.Codes, 1942, § 6504.5; Laws, 1948, ch. 289, § 9; Laws, 2002, ch. 463, § 7, eff. 7/1/2002.
