Effective with the term of office beginning January 1, 2016, in any Class 1 county bordering the Mississippi River having a population in excess of thirty thousand (30,000), according to the 2010 federal decennial census, wherein Mississippi Highway 49 and U.S. Highway 61 intersect, the county superintendent of education shall be appointed by the county board of education.Added by Laws, 2015, ch. 458, § 1, eff. 4/20/2015.
