Section 37-65-15 - Closing of schools shall not affect retirement benefits

Upon or during any closure of any school, junior college or institution of higher learning in accordance with the terms of this article, the retirement benefits under existing law of any teacher, superintendent, principal or other employee shall in no way be affected by the same or because of the period of time elapsing during which such school, junior college or institution of higher learning may be closed.Codes, 1942, § 6232-28; Laws, 1958, ch. 311, § 8, eff. 5/6/1958.
