Section 37-7-337 - Plan to encourage community involvement in schools

(1) The governing authorities of the county, counties or city in which a school district is located and the school board of each school district shall develop a five-year plan to encourage community involvement with the schools in such district.(2) Districts meeting the highest levels of accreditation standards, as defined by the State Board of Education, shall be exempted from the mandatory provisions of this section.Laws, 1992, ch. 419, § 12; Laws, 2006, ch. 417, § 7; reenacted without change, Laws, 2009, ch. 345, § 9; reenacted and amended, Laws, 2009, ch. 445, § 5, eff. 7/1/2009.
