For the purpose of authorizing the establishment of mental illness and intellectual disability facilities and services in the State of Mississippi, the boards of supervisors of one or more counties are authorized to act singularly or as a group in the selection of a regional district by spreading upon their minutes by resolution such designation in conformity with Chapter 427, Laws of 2023.Codes, 1942, § 6909-57; Laws, 1966, ch. 477, § 1; Laws, 2010, ch. 476, § 29, eff. 4/1/2010.Amended by Laws, 2023, ch. 427, HB 1222,§ 5, eff. 7/1/2023.Short title. Section 1 of Laws, 2023, ch. 427, HB 1222 provides: 'This act shall be known and may be cited as 'The Mississippi Collaborative Response to Mental Health Act.''
