The director is authorized to pay any person such sum or sums of money as he may deem appropriate for information concerning a violation of this article from funds appropriated for the bureau of narcotics.Moneys expended from the funds of the bureau for the purchase of controlled substances, and subsequently recovered shall be returned to the account from which they were originally drawn for such purpose.
