Section 41-7-190 - Certificate of need program; limitations on ownership of beds

No corporation, foreign or domestic, partnership, individual(s) or association of such entities or of persons whatsoever, or any combination thereof, shall own, possess or exercise control over, in any manner, more than twenty percent (20%) of the beds in health-care facilities defined in Section 41-7-173(h)(iv) and (vi) in the defined health service area of the State of Mississippi.Health-care facilities owned, operated or under control of the United States government, the state government or political subdivision of either are excluded from the limitation of this section.Laws, 1984, ch. 492, § 1; Laws, 1985, ch. 534, § 7, eff. 7/1/1985.
