Section 41-7-39 - Wrongfully obtaining care, treatment or hospitalization

Any person knowingly obtaining or attempting to obtain, or any person, firm or corporation who knowingly aids or abets any person to obtain, or attempt to obtain, by means of a willfully false statement or representation or impersonation, or other fraudulent device, any care, treatment or hospitalization provided by the provisions of Sections 41-7-1 through 41-7-45, to which he is not lawfully entitled shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished as provided by law.Codes, 1942, § 7144.5; Laws, 1960, ch. 354, § 12, eff. 7/1/1960.
