(1) If unforeseen complications arise prior to or during an abortion facility procedure, the patient shall be transferred to the nearest hospital.(2) Each abortion facility shall make arrangements with a local ambulance service, duly licensed by the State of Mississippi, for the transport of emergency patients to a hospital and provide documentation to the department of proof of such arrangements.Laws, 1991, ch. 301, § 8, eff. 7/1/1990 (Governor's veto overridden by Legislature on 1/17/1991).
