Section 45-14-37 - Penalties

Any person who willfully and knowingly violates any provisions of this chapter or rules and regulations promulgated hereunder, or who hinders, obstructs or otherwise interferes with any authorized representative of the agency in the discharge of his official duties in making inspections as provided in Section 45-14-15(1) or in impounding sources of radiation as provided in Section 45-14-23 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or imprisoned for not more than thirty (30) days, or both such fine and imprisonment.Laws, 1976, ch. 469, § 19, eff. 5/25/1976.
