(1) Any county or municipality now or hereafter having a twenty-four (24) hour law enforcement system is hereby authorized by an order duly entered upon the minutes of such governing authority thereof to request the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol to purchase and install in some permanent office provided therefor a proper and suitable radio receiving set, subject to the approval of the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol.(2) The Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol shall, upon the receipt of such request by any such municipality or county, purchase and install in such county or municipality in a building provided by such county or municipality a proper and suitable radio receiving set, which shall be tuned or adjusted in order to receive broadcasts from the radio station or stations operated by the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol.
