Section 47-5-707 - [Repealed Effective 7/1/2025] Notice of overcrowded prison conditions; thirty-day report of overcrowded prison conditions

Whenever the prison system population exceeds ninety-five percent (95%) of operating capacity, the Commissioner of Corrections shall immediately notify the Governor and the State Parole Board of this fact. The notice shall include the current prison system population and the prison system operating capacity. A report must be made within ten (10) days after the thirtieth day of operating in excess of ninety-five percent (95%) of operating capacity.
