Section 49-5-90 - Bonds; negotiability; exemption from taxation

All general obligation bonds of the State of Mississippi and interest coupons issued under the provisions of Sections 49-5-86 through 49-5-98 shall have and are hereby declared to have all the qualities and incidents of negotiable instruments under the Uniform Commercial Code of the State of Mississippi. Such bonds and the income therefrom shall be exempt from all taxation within the State of Mississippi.Laws, 1975, ch. 471, § 5; Laws, 1976, ch. 417, § 5, eff. 5/2/1976.
