Section 49-7-97 - Liability of public officer for failure to perform duty

Any public officer who wilfully fails to perform any duty imposed by law or by any lawful rule or regulation of the commission, is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or be imprisoned not more than six (6) months, or both.Codes, 1942, § 5866-03; Laws, 1956, ch. 149, § 4; Laws, 1994, ch. 408, § 5, eff. 7/1/1994.
