In areas not presently within the boundaries of an existing drainage district, and in areas partially within and partially without the boundaries of existing drainage districts, the real property owners may proceed to organize a drainage district for carrying out the purposes of Sections 51-33-1 to 51-33-9, and such organization of such district may be carried out for said purposes according to any one of the different procedures for organization of drainage districts set forth in chapters 29 and 31 of this title; and after organization such district shall have all the powers vested by law in such district.Codes, 1942, § 4606.5; Laws, 1955, Ex. ch. 92, §§ 1-5; Laws, 1958, ch. 456, § 3; Laws, 1960, ch. 176; Laws, 1966, ch. 228, § 1, eff. 6/11/1966.
