The district is empowered to obtain through appropriate hearings an appropriation permit or permits from the Board of Water Commissioners of the State of Mississippi, as provided in Section 51-3-31.Codes, 1942, § 3665-12; Laws, 1962, ch. 226, § 12, eff. 3/20/1962.
