Section 53-3-101 - Applications; hearings

The State Oil and Gas Board upon the application of any interested person shall, after notice as herein provided, hold a hearing to consider the need for the operation as a unit of an entire field, or of an entire pool or pools, or of any portion or portions or combinations thereof, within a field, for the production of oil or gas or both, in order to increase the ultimate recovery thereof or to prevent waste. The board may reopen the hearing provided in this section at any time prior to the final order adjudicating that the requirements of section 53-3-107 have been satisfied.Codes, 1942, § 6132-101; Laws, 1964, ch. 236, § 1; Laws, 1972, ch. 365, § 1, eff. 4/24/1972.
