Section 53-9-61 - Criminal penalties; resisting, preventing, impeding, or interfering with performance of duties

Any person who, except as permitted by law, willfully resists, impedes or interferes with the commission, permit board or any authorized representative of the department in the performance of duties under this chapter shall be punished by a fine of not more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) or by imprisonment for not more than one (1) year, or both.Laws, 1979, ch. 477, § 36; Laws, 1997, ch. 306, § 29, eff. 3/10/1997.
